Stages of Basketball Injuries
There are different stages of a basketball injury, and it is important to know the severity of your strain so it does not progress. The different grades of basketball injuries make up of the following 3 types:
- Grade 1: mild symptoms: there are swelling and tenderness which include difficulty jogging and running. Ligaments are stretched and not torn.
- Grade 2: moderate symptoms: there is some loss of motion of the ankle, bruising and trouble walking. Ligaments are partially torn.
- Grade 3: The ligaments are completely torn. There is loss of motion possibly on the weight of the foot, severe pain when you walk and instability of the joint.
